LOOKING FOR A NEW CHURCH EXPERIENCE?

Begin a True Hope House Church!

The true Church of Jesus Christ is so much more than a group of people that meet in a big building somewhere once or more each week!  Now let us be clear, there is nothing at all wrong with meeting in a designated "church building" one or more times a week ... unless that is all there is to it!

A big building that sits empty and inactive for 3/5ths or 4/5ths of the time is not truly and fully serving the needs of the membership or the community in which it stands!

• Does this meet the standards of Scripture?

Are you connected to other members ... or are you just an accumulation of happy acquaintances?

• Does this meet the standards of Scripture?

Are the leaders connected to the members ... or are they inaccessible to all but an "inner circle"?

• Does this meet the standards of Scripture?

The TRUE Church of Jesus Christ is so much more than what the great many churches in America offer today!

In a True Hope Church the concern is with members being spiritually connected to one another and especially the connection between leaders and members! 

Scripture plainly tells us that each member of the Body is to understand and fulfill its connection to all other members of the same Body, that Body being the Church of Christ Jesus!

• For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
  For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
  For the body is not one member, but many.
  If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
  And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
  If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?
  But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.
  And if they were all one member, where were the body?
  But now are they many members, yet but one body.
  And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.
  Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:
  And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.
  For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked:
  That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.
  And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.
  Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.
  1 Corinthians 12:12-27

Now consider what we find in Hebrews 10:25

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

• The True Hope Church vision is just this ... help the members ASSEMBLE.  Not just come together for worship - although we do gather to worship - but to assemble for ministry!  Each member should know (or be learning) what his/her role in the Body is and be functioning in that role!
• Every other member should recognize the roles of the other members and function in cooperation with those other members!
• If it were to be otherwise, the author of Hebrews would have said it this way ... "Not forsaking the gathering of yourselves together ..."  But what he said is ASSEMBLING, when something is assembled it is able to function as designed and in accordance to PURPOSE ... the purpose for which God created each of us to fulfill in His ministry!

Such is the True Hope goal for gathering each week, to assemble and encourage one another in our roles of Christ Body, His Ministry that each of us must fulfill if we are to become the glorious Church for which He is returning in a soon coming day!

This is also our desire in helping to start new House Churches ... whether independent ministries ... or preferably, being an integrated new aspect of the "temple" congregations.  We are ready, willing and able to assist the pastor who is wanting to establish a new House Church as well as the Church Leadership Team of large congregations who desire to form a more "organic" membership through establishing house church subsets of the larger congregation.

In fact, our first house church was just that, a subset of a larger congregation!  Many leaders in the greater church grew from our house church meetings! Evangelists, Teachers and Pastoral assistants came from our home group!  The senior pastor was quite pleased with what developed, and was very secure with the "subset" as he knew that we were faithful to the ministry of the greater church and not wanting to split off a group to form our own seperate congregation!

That is a crucial factor in the larger congregation that is considering making use of the House Church format ... every House Leader must be dedicated to the ministry of the greater congregation and not wanting to form their own little empire!

What about the people who are wanting to form an independent house church?  As long as you are not the result of a rebellious and divisive church split or a splinter group that is out to cause a schism in a greater congregation, True Hope Churches & Ministries is here to assist you!

Careful reading of the New Testament will show that both formats did more than co-exist, they cooperatively existed!  Each one fulfilling their purpose in support of the other! 

What we do not find in the New Testament is that the home groups were pitted against the temple groups or visa versa. Actually, each were fulfilling a purpose for, within and by the Body of Christ!
