MEETING TIPS - -
Please read the "Attendee
Quick Reference Guide" on the log in webpage. It will help everyone have a better experience, thanks so much!
-
JOIN THE MEETING NO EARLIER THAN THE START TIME ... IF you call before the
Organizer is on, you will be placed on hold.
-
WHEN JOINING, please wait for the Presenter to recognize you before speaking.
This is especially important if the meeting is already in progress.
-
-
You are welcome to join late, but please realize that all participants are
placed on MUTE while the meeting is in progress.
-
IF you need to be recognized while on mute, use the CHAT tool on your computer
then please wait to be recognized.
-
Please mute other telephones, music, television and devices during your participation
in order to prevent distracting background noises.
-
DO NOT TRY TO USE THE PHONE AND VOIP IN THE SAME ROOM AT THE SAME TIME - - IT
WILL BE A FEEDBACK NIGHTMARE!
-
-
If you join with VoIP
(internet), we recommend you use a USB headset rather than a microphone & speakers to
improve call quality.
-
-
Close all computer program
applications and documents you are not using for your presentation; applications running in the background may use
up your computer's bandwidth and affect system performance.
-
IF you do use a
microphone & speakers – for best results do the following:
-
-
Separate your
microphone and speakers by several feet
-
Keep microphone
turned off unless you are speaking
-
DO NOT TOUCH
microphone unless absolutely necessary – microphones can be very sensitive and will
transmit sounds that come from handling/moving the mic.
-
Ensure that your mouthpiece volume is turned up so the attendees can hear you, and that your
earpiece volume is turned up so you can hear the other attendees.
-
USING AN ANALOG
HEADSET with other meeting participants at your computer with you ...
-
-
You can leave
your green plug (usually green is for speaker) disconnected which will channel the
sound through your desktop speakers so others can hear the meeting audio and prevent
feedback.
-
If other participants need to speak, just pass them the
headset and they can use the microphone to talk.
-
If you join the
conference by phone, make sure that any other phones and data devices (BlackBerry, iPhone)
are either turned off or are away from your computer.
-
-
DO NOT USE
SPEAKERPHONE option on your wireless home phone or cell
phone. The quality on a phone speaker is poor at best and will cause
words to be chopped/dropped.
-
A specially designed tabletop
speaker telephone system should provide good quality audio, such systems can be purchased
for $100 and up.
THANK YOU FOR PARTICIPATING WITH TRUE HOPE LIVE BIBLE SERVICES!
May God Bless You Most Richly!
